Would this be a good beginners fly outfit?
have been searching for complete fly fishing outfits for Trout Fishing on a river. As you may well know there’s hundreds of options at all kinds of prices and a lot of brand names I’ve heard of and some more obscure. If anybody has any experience and can give me advice on this subject it would be appreciated. Looking to pay up to £100 for the complete outfit if this is possible. Any feedback at all would help. Ive been fly fishing for about 58 years so i hope that qualifies to give you advice. The kit you mentioned is OK, but the rod isn’t of very good quality and the fly line is not one of masterlines best lines even though you are paying £30 for it, buying a complete outfit like the one you suggested often means that the quality of the items will not be as good as if you purchased them your self, there are things in the kit you don’t really need, but you can purchase them at a later date

Forceps- good for unhooking your trout and flattening barbs-there are expensive pairs out there but the cheaper ones work just as well.
Flies that’s all you need and also same ready made tapered leaders, which retail for very little, if you want a rod that will last and is at a good price try the Grey’s G-series
This is a great choice, all you have to do is spend about another £10 on flies and leaders you you are set to fish, this is a quality rod and reel and the fly line is allot better than the masterline advantage

Then you will need some flies you can buy them online or as a better option go into a local tackle shop and ask them what fishes best on the river you intend to fish, flies such as the klink-hammer and the hares ear nymph are good to start with they will also tell you where is a good place to fish.
