Would halibut work in a fish pie instead of cod/haddock?

all the fish pie recipes ive seen say to use cod or haddock for the white fish. I have halibut and sockeye salmon…would that be a good combo for a fish pie?

Of course! It has the same mild flavor as cod or haddock. It is not quite as fatty, but paired with a rich sauce that is typically used in a fish pie there will be little difference in taste ad texture. Plus knowing that you are using a higher quality of fish does make the dish that much more luxurious!
