why isn’t my LED light flashing when I charge my blackberry pearl?

iv’e had my blackberry pearl 8130 for a week today. i have noticed when i charge it the LED light flashes green until charge is complete then the light burns a constant green. today when i charged it the light did nothing however my phone did charge. is there a way to turn this LED notification back on? i was messing with the settings with LED when receiving messages/email but i didn’t notice anything dealing with the charging of the phone. any ideas? thanks.

The green LED to show charging/charged only works when the phone is powered off (since when it’s off you can’t verify it’s charging by looking at the screen).

When the phone is powered on, you look at the battery indicator on the screen to tell the charging status.

Yellow flashing (by the way) is low battery.
