Live bait?

When fishing with nightcrawlers, do i want to use a bobber, weights, etc. or not. What is you suggestion ?

I have a different slant on this than everyone else. In my experience (unless you are soley fishing for perch or sunfish), fishing nightcrawlers on the bottom is best. Bigger fish are often scouring the bottom searching for food, and rarely will they pass by a hook full of wriggling worms laying naturally on the bottom. Just use a one-half to one ounce sinker resting on a swivel, and have your hook 8-10 inches below the swivel. If you are fishing an area with lots of moss on the bottom, a bobber is useful to keep your worms from becoming lost in the vegetation, but still try to have your bait dangling as close to the bottom as possible.
