I just brought a 6 ft. quantum glacier xp fishing rod and reel, I was wondering if this was a good rod?

I’m using this for bass and crappie fishing. What size line and brand should I use. someone said 12lb line but not sure. want to be able to cast out about 200 yds. The rod I have is for medium action. Need help please.

No pun intended but, I don’t think there’s a reel on the market that’ll cast 200 hundred yards… Can’t help ya’ out with your rod set-up mainly because I’m unfamiliar with the particular Quantum model?? Suffix is a’ line that I recently changed over to and am purrrrtty pleased/impressed with it. If ya’ be fishing both Crappie and Bass I’d think 8lb., test will do ya’ right;)… < * ( {{ > <
